Our Story
Glen & Adele Hawes started the business back in 2001. The company was then called Wycombe Skip Hire and Demolition. The business expanded and installed a recycling plant and changed the name to Wycombe Recycling to reflect this..
Wycombe Recycling and Wycombe Demolition went hand in hand until October 2019 when the decision was made to change Wycombe Demolition to GAGE Demolition. The company changed their name to GAGE as over the years it had expanded and the demolition work now took the team much further afield than just High Wycombe.
Why GAGE? We couldn’t think of a name so we put it out to our social media followers. One of them, who also knows us as a family came up with:- GAGE, the first initial of each of our names.
We are a family business with family values so using the initials of our families names seemed a good idea….plus we couldn’t think of anything else! After all we are Demolition experts not marketing gurus!
So now both companies offer a range of services. Wycombe Recycling offers skip hire within a 15 mile radius of High Wycombe and GAGE Demolition works nationwide from our sites in Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire demolishing anything from single dwellings to office blocks, care homes, factories, hospitals and industrial estates. We still have a team managing the smaller projects too so if it’s just a shed or a garage you want dismantling locally, GAGE can do that too.
